Sarah ‘Fergie’ Ferguson Reportedly in a Housing Crisis With ‘No Offer of Permanent Accommodation’

Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson, who along with ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten Windsor must vacate Royal Lodge in the coming days, is reportedly still uncertain of where she will go.

According to a Thursday, January 29, report in British daily newspaper The Times, the former Duke and Duchess of York are in the middle of what the publication is calling a “housing crisis.”

It has been reported that the former Prince Andrew, 65, will eventually reside at Marsh Farm, two miles west of Sandringham House, but that he may need to stay at a smaller property nearby until renovations on the home are completed.

The Times reported that Andrew’s planned relocation to Marsh Farm may not even come to fruition now due to a security overhaul. The publication also understands that the father of two is unhappy with the potential living arrangement, and it was said that pest control officers were seen on the property amid reports of a mole problem.

Ferguson, 66, is apparently having just as many issues when it comes to moving on from Royal Lodge. The Times stated that “no offer of permanent accommodation” has been extended to Fergie by the couple’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

The author’s spokesperson told People in December that “she is assessing a number of options” and shut down rumors that she would be moving to Eugenie’s property in Portugal or Beatrice’s country home.

A source also told People last year that the former Duchess of York is “looking for a place in Windsor,” which is where she currently resides with Andrew.

As of publication, the Times said the former couple may “have to lower their expectations about the sort of lifestyle they wish to lead” in order to find accommodations before they’re forced out.

The newspaper also maintained that Fergie — who lived practically rent-free with Andrew for years at Royal Lodge — will not be moving in with her ex-husband this time around.

Andrew has come under fire in recent months due to renewed interest in his connection to Jeffrey Epstein. Though Queen Elizabeth II’s son has never been charged with any crime, more damning allegations against him have come to light following the release of Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir and parts of the Epstein files.

Andrew has consistently maintained his innocence and denied any wrongdoing.

Feguson, who previously said via a representative that she was “taken in” by Epstein’s “lies,” also denies any wrongdoing.
