Ex-Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson May No Longer Be the ‘Most Friendly Divorced Couple’ Amid Move

Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson’s dynamic with ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten Windsor may drastically change in the coming days.

The former Duchess of York, 66 — who was asked to vacate Royal Lodge at the same time Andrew, 65, was stripped of his royal duties and honors in October — has lived with her ex for years following their 1996 divorce.

However, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told British news program GB News that they may no longer be the “happiest divorced couple in the world,” which is how they’ve previously described their relationship.

“It will be a very substantial change from the image of this idea that they were the world’s most friendly divorced couple,” Fitzwilliams said of Fergie and Andrew’s upcoming move out of Royal Lodge.

The two are expected to vacate the property in the coming days, and he believes that the mother of two will “almost certainly try some sort of comeback,” he said.

“What we don’t know is what she will do next,” Fitzwilliams pointed out. “And of course, from the point of view of the Royal Family, a horrifying prospect that there could be television.”

As the former couple find themselves engulfed in scandal due to their connection to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, a source previously told Examiner, “Andrew is terrified Sarah will try to salvage her own reputation by throwing him under the bus.”

The source implied that Fergie may have a tell-all in the works, adding, “[Andrew] knows publishers want her side of things and the more dirt she spills on him, the bigger the payday will be.”

The former Prince Andrew has come under fire in recent months due to renewed interest in his connection to Epstein. Though Queen Elizabeth II’s son has never been charged with any crime, more damning allegations against him have come to light following the release of Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir and parts of the Epstein files.

Andrew has consistently maintained his innocence and denied any wrongdoing.

Feguson, who previously said via a representative that she was “taken in” by Epstein’s “lies,” also denies any wrongdoing.
