Sarah Ferguson Offers to Help Prince Harry and Meghan Markle: ‘There Will Be Strings Attached’

Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson is insisting that she, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could help each other — and is even willing to prove her value to them first, a source tells Examiner.

“She wants to open doors for them in London society,” reveals the source. “She may be persona non grata publicly right now, but she still has plenty of friends in those circles that can smooth things along for Harry and Meghan.”

After living in the U.S. for the last six years, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently moved back to the U.K. with their two children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5. The former Duchess of York, 66, also recently returned to England too, as Examiner previously reported.

“She’s framing it as a chance to help them out because she understands how hard it is to be an outsider,” the source says. “But naturally this is really all about Sarah helping Sarah.”

Fergie has been frozen out by the royal family over her close ties to Jeffrey Epstein, though she denies any wrongdoing and consistently maintains her innocence, previously stating via a representative that she was “taken in” by Epstein’s “lies.”

After reuniting with King Charles III earlier this summer, Harry, 41, and Meghan, 45, “have the ear of the king now, so it can only bode well for her if they’re on side,” explains the source. “Plus, anything she does for them is bound to benefit her by association because it will show the social set that she at least has her nephew still in her corner.”

It has put Harry in a “very tricky situation,” the source admits.

On the one hand, he’s “very wary of getting involved with her or accepting any help at all because he knows there will be strings attached,” says the source. “He and Meghan are [also] very grateful to [Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie] for showing them so much support. It’s hard to turn down this sort of ask from their mother.”
