Prince William and Princess Kate ‘Will Go On Ignoring’ Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Friend Says

A friend of Prince William and Princess Kate is opening up about the future king and queen’s plans to keep their distance from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle now that the Sussexes are living in the same country again.

Royal editor Richard Eden claimed a pal of the royals recently told him William and Kate have zero plans to change their tune and suddenly become friendly with their estranged in-laws.

“It makes no difference if Harry and Meghan are in Oxfordshire, California or Timbuktu,” the pal insisted to Eden, via a Daily Mail report on Thursday, September 3.

William and Kate are focused more on their jobs, according to the friend.

“William and Catherine will continue their lives of public service. They intend to lead by example,” the friend added.

The Sussexes stunned the world weeks ago when it was revealed that they planned to relocate from their Montecito, California, home back to Harry’s native England. The move comes six years after the Sussexes stepped back from working for the British royal family and moved to North America in a move dubbed “Megxit” at the time.

The reported relocation is particularly striking given the serious divide that has developed between Harry and Meghan and the rest of the royal family since 2020.

The Duke of Sussex famously aired family drama in his 2023 memoir, Spare.

Harry and Meghan are said to be settling down in the Cotswolds area of England, with their son Prince Archie, 7, and daughter Princess Lilibet, 5, attending school there.

The Sussexes’ move is also said to be temporary. They still own their Montecito, California, home, and are reportedly planning on holding on to their vacation home in Portugal.
