How Ex-Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson Reportedly Felt About Their Daughters Spending Christmas With Royal Family

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and his ex-wife, Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson, seemingly approved of their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, ditching them for the holidays.

As Examiner previously reported, Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 35, attended church services in Sandringham with their spouses, and King Charles III, Queen Camilla and the rest of the royals on Christmas morning. Former Prince Andrew, 65, and Ferguson, 66, of course, did not receive an invite to Christmas at Sandringham.

In a People article published Thursday, January 8, a source claimed the former couple wasn’t bothered by their daughters’ decision.

“They live and die by the monarchy, so this didn’t surprise me at all,” the source remarked. “And Andrew and Sarah would have 1,000 percent supported it.”

“Sarah has always said her greatest gift to the monarchy was her girls,” the source continued. “She’s going to still hold her allegiance to the Crown.”

Meanwhile, royal biographer Robert Jobson told the outlet that Beatrice and Eugenie made the best decision about where to spend the holidays.

“They did the right thing – showing loyalty to King Charles and to the Crown,” Jobson told the publication. “It’s easy to say this is a snub, but they would say, ‘I’m a royal princess, I’m in line to the throne, I have been invited to attend the King’s Christmas celebrations’ and you don’t turn down the King’s invitation.”

“If you have an invitation, you go. It’s not an invitation – it’s a command, really,” Jobson added.

On October 30, Buckingham Palace announced that Andrew had been stripped of all his royal titles and honors as his connection to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein continues to be called into question. Andrew and Fergie also agreed to move out of the Royal Lodge sometime in 2026.
