Sarah Ferguson Reportedly Chose Town She Wants to Reside in as Move-Out Date With Ex-Prince Andrew Is Set

Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson has seemingly settled on what area she wants to find a home in.

In a People article published on Tuesday, December 2, a source told the outlet that the former Duchess of York, 66, is “looking for a place in Windsor,” which is where she currently resides with her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, 65.

The source also revealed the children’s book author and the former prince — who share daughters Princess Beatrice, 37, and Princess Eugenie, 35 — have been given a move-out date for the Royal Lodge: The pair must leave by January 31.

On Monday, December 1, Fergie’s spokesman told People that “she is assessing a number of options currently, and no final decision has been made,” and shut down rumors that she would be moving to Eugenie’s property in Portugal or Beatrice’s country home.

As Examiner previously reported on October 30, Buckingham Palace issued an official statement announcing that, in addition to Andrew being stripped of all his titles and honors, he must surrender the lease on the Royal Lodge, meaning Fergie would also have to vacate the property.

Andrew will be moving into his family’s private estate, Sandringham, in Norfolk, England.

A lease for the Royal Lodge published by The Times in October revealed that Andrew has only been charged “one peppercorn (if demanded)” in rent each year since 2003.

Andrew has stirred up controversy for the royal family, including Fergie, as his relationship with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has been heavily scrutinized. (Andrew has vehemently denied any wrongdoing.)
