According to a new report by The Mirror, Harry, 41, has not reached out to his father, 77, since announcing his move back to the U.K. last month.
More than six years after stepping down as senior working members of the British royal family, the Duke of Sussex and his wife, Meghan Markle, shocked the world by announcing their decision to move from California back to his home country.
The father of two — who shares son Prince Archie, 7, and daughter Princess Lilibet, 5, with Meghan — informed the king of his family’s decision just three days before the news was made public. At the time, Charles was vacationing at his summer home Balmoral in Scotland with his eldest son, Prince William, and William’s family.
It appeared the relationship was on the mend as the news came just weeks after Harry, Meghan, 45, and their children reunited with the monarch during their trip to the U.K. in July. The visit marked the first between Charles and his grandchildren since 2022.

Sources told The Mirror, however, that Charles is “perplexed” about why he has not heard from his youngest son since the family arrived back in Britain.
“Harry has spoken openly about desperately wanting reconciliation and yet he is the one keeping his father and his family in the dark about major developments such as moving back to the UK,” the source told the outlet on Tuesday, September 8. “Such behavior just makes it harder to deal with the Sussexes or know their true motives for moving their entire lives back to Harry’s homeland. The whole family are perplexed about the situation.”
