King Charles III is being advised to tread lightly, a source tells Examiner, in the wake of rumors that Prince Harry is planning to make a TV movie about his late mother, Princess Diana.
“There’s no doubt the king is going to want to get to the bottom of this and find out what Harry’s planning,” reveals the source. “But it’s a very touchy subject, for obvious reasons.”
On Wednesday, September 5, Rob Shuter‘s Naughty But Nice Substack reported that the Duke of Sussex, 41, has already begun approaching Diana’s friends about participating in the project, which will be narrated by none other than Meghan Markle.

“The fear is that if things don’t go well, anything [Charles] says could be shared with the public, so there’s this constant sense that every word needs to be very carefully measured,” the source explains. “But make no mistake, the news that Harry is planning this has thrown everyone into a panic because it’s hard to imagine how he can possibly do this retrospective of her life without touching on her marriage.”
Diana and Charles announced their separation in 1992, and in her infamous 1995 interview with BBC’sPanorama, the Princess of Wales shocked the world when she revealed that there had been three people in their marriage, referring to his now-wife Queen Camilla.

“It’s Camilla’s 80th birthday next year,” says the source. “The last thing she needs is to be dragged through the mud, and in his condition, the king is in no shape to deal with this stress either” amid his ongoing cancer battle.
“It’s shocking to everyone in their circle that Harry would want to put more stress on his father right now, especially since he’s trying to work his way back into the fold,” the source adds. “It seems very poorly thought out, to say the least.”
