King Charles and Prince William Are ‘in Sync’ About Prince Harry ‘Not Representing’ the Royals

King Charles III and Prince William are apparently seeing eye to eye when it comes to Prince Harry‘s role in the monarchy.

Though the Duke of Sussex, 42, and wife Meghan Markle moved back to the United Kingdom last month, that doesn’t mean the Sussexes will be assuming any royal roles or duties.

“The King and William are completely united on the Sussexes not representing the royal family,” royal author Russell Myers told People in an article published Wednesday, September 16. “It’s without a doubt how in sync they are on this matter.”

In fact, the 77-year-old king seems so set on his decision, he issued a letter last week to senior officials across the U.K. government informing everyone that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex remain non-working members of the royal family despite their recent return to Britain.

As for Harry’s relationship with brother William, 44, the Prince of Wales feels that “any relationship his father has with Harry or the Sussexes as a family is entirely up to him,” said Myers.

However, according to the royal expert, William “will have no relationship” with Harry and Meghan, 45, “in a working or private capacity whatsoever.”

After the Spare author and the former Suits star made the decision to step down from their senior royal duties in 2020 and move to California, it appears that Harry has had little — if any — communication with his brother.

A source previously told Examiner that the ongoing rift weighs on His Majesty, especially now that Harry and Meghan’s children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, are back in the U.K.

“It clearly means the world to [Charles] that he’s finally getting to bond with Archie and Lili,” the source said. “But the fact that Harry and William are still openly feuding is very bothersome.”

“Right now, the Firm has never been more divided,” the source stated. “All he wants is peace.”
