Camilla, 79, “knows better than anyone how important this is for Charles,” says the source, revealing that the cancer-stricken monarch, 77, has had a “real spring in his step” since he hosted Harry, 41, Meghan, 45, and their two children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, at Highgrove House earlier this summer.
“It clearly means the world to him that he’s finally getting to bond with Archie and Lili,” the source adds. “But the fact that Harry and William are still openly feuding is very bothersome. It weighs His Majesty down tremendously and that stress is the last thing he needs whilst he’s still fighting cancer.”

As Examiner previously reported, Charles doesn’t have much support for welcoming Harry and Meghan back into the royal fold, least of all from William, 44.
“Right now, the Firm has never been more divided,” the source admits. “There are increasing numbers of aides who are slowly migrating to the king’s viewpoint but still a majority who stand with William say this reunion with the Sussexes is total madness.”
Still, Charles continues to hope.
On Tuesday, August 25, People reported that the sovereign sees the Sussexes’ recent move back to the U.K. as a rare opportunity to bring his sons closer together.
“All he wants is peace,” says the source. “But at this point in time, his eldest son won’t give that to him.”
