Prince William Open to ‘Making Peace’ With Prince Harry Under Certain Conditions (Exclusive)

Prince William may be softening to the idea of reconciling with his brother, Prince Harry.

A source tells Examiner the Prince of Wales, 43, “is not totally closed off to the idea of making peace with” the Duke of Sussex, 41.

“He knows how much it would mean to his father and [Princess] Kate, especially with Christmas fast approaching,” the source explains.

However, the source says William would want a “supervised discussion” that is “handled with total discretion,” noting that he has no desire to “pick up the phone and do this casually.”

Meanwhile, the source says “there’s still a big divide within the Firm” on whether William should welcome the Spare author back into the royal fold.

“A lot of courtiers still don’t trust Harry an inch, and they think it’s crucial for William to stand his ground and stay far away from the Sussexes,” the source alleges. “But there’s only so much resistance he can put up against his own wife and father, who are telling him in no uncertain terms that enough is enough and it’s high time for peace.”

An insider told Examiner last week that King Charles III was “urging” William to reconcile with Harry.

As for Harry, the source claims he is open to speaking with William without wife Meghan Markle, as he did last month when he ended his 19-month estrangement with Charles.

“Harry has always previously insisted that he’d never come to the table unless Meghan’s invited, but he put that principle aside for the meeting with his father, and the word is that he’s willing to do the same with William,” the source remarks.

William made a rare mention of his younger brother while speaking to Eugene Levy in the October 3 episode of Apple TV+’s The Reluctant Traveler.

“I hope we don’t go back to some of the practices in the past that Harry and I had to grow up in,” William told Leavy, 78. “And I’ll do everything I can to make sure we don’t regress in that situation.”
