Prince Harry and Prince William spent Tuesday, July 7, on opposite ends of London — physically closer than they’ve been in years, but with no reunion in sight.
According to an article People published on Tuesday, July 7, Harry, 41, launched his U.K. return at the 14th Invictus Games Foundation Conversation: From Policy to Practice, held at Chatham House in London. Just 12 miles away, William, 44, made an appearance at Ysgol Gymraeg Llundain (The London Welsh School) in Hanwell, West London, cheering on students as they sent messages of support to Team Wales ahead of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
Despite the short distance separating them, the estranged brothers are not expected to cross paths during Harry’s visit, per the report.

The dual outings came on a rocky day for Harry legally — a judge dismissed his lawsuit against Associated Newspapers Limited earlier on Tuesday, ruling that he and six co-claimants failed to demonstrate the publisher had improperly gathered private details, whether through hired investigators, misleading tactics, phone interception or illicit payments, according to the article.
Still, he appeared composed and at ease greeting attendees at Chatham House shortly after the ruling broke, per the report.
The brothers’ relationship has been fractured since 2020, when Harry and wife Meghan Markle, 44, stepped back from royal duties, but the relationship had been tense leading up the Sussexes’ move to the U.S. In his 2023 memoir, Spare, Harry described William as both his “beloved brother” and his “archnemesis,” recounting their rivalry and a confrontation that turned physical.
As National Examiner previously reported, security concerns surrounding Harry’s trip had escalated to the point of “obsession” in the weeks leading up to his return. Those same concerns are believed to be behind Meghan and the couple’s children, Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, skipping this leg of the visit entirely, People reported.
