Prince Harry Fears ‘Resentful’ Queen Camilla Is ‘Stirring Up Trouble’ Ahead of His U.K. Move

Prince Harry doesn’t expect a warm welcome from Queen Camilla when he and Meghan Markle move back to the U.K. this fall, says a source.

“There’s a lot of hostility between them that’s running just below the surface,” the source tells Examiner. “Just because she was courteous and made nice the last time Harry was there doesn’t mean the bad blood has gone away.”

In July, King Charles III and his wife, 79, hosted the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as well as their kids, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, at Highgrove House in Gloucestershire, England. It was the first time all six family members had been in the same place in four years.

“She’s still deeply resentful over what he said in Spare, though,” the source admits. “By all accounts, there’s been no apology from Harry. And there’s not likely to be any apology because Harry is still just as resentful of Camilla.”

As Examiner previously reported, Harry, 41, described his stepmother as “dangerous” in the 2023 memoir, writing that she “sacrificed” his image to save her own.

“He suspects she’s still stirring up trouble behind the scenes, particularly with the press and inside the palace,” the source shares. “Harry’s coming back into the lion’s den knowing Camilla will be watching his every move — and that if he trips up, she will seize on it.”

However, Harry seems most upset about the queen consort continuing to stand in the way of his rebuilding a close knit relationship with the king, 77, per the source.

“Camilla is very much the gatekeeper,” adds the source. “She’s let it be known that she will be front and center anytime Harry sees his father.”
