‘When Harry Met Sally’ Stars Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan Hope to Collaborate: ‘Still Got the Chemistry’

Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan, who famously co-starred in 1989’s When Harry Met Sally, are hoping to team up on a new project, a source tells Examiner.

According to the source, The Princess Bride actor, 77, has “been angling to do something big with Meg for years, and she’s on board.”

“Now that her movie with Lena [Dunham] has wrapped, she has the time,” explains the source, referring to her upcoming Netflix film Good Sex.

“It’s active and they’ve got some ideas,” the source shares. “Meg might even write the script.”

The source says fans have been hoping the pair would do “something together again.”

“Everyone agrees seeing them together on screen would be magic,” the source notes. “They’ve still got the chemistry.”

As for the studio executives, the insider shares they “couldn’t be more thrilled and will welcome a Meg and Billy reunion.”

The Sleepless in Seattle star, 63, and the Tony Award winner reunited onscreen in January for a Hellmann’s mayonnaise Super Bowl commercial.

In the ad, the pair reenacted the infamous diner scene from their cult classic film at Katz’s Delicatessen in New York City — the same place they originally shot it.

When talking to Entertainment Tonight on set, the duo was asked why they said yes to the commercial, with Ryan responding “it was a funny idea,” and an “undeniable idea,” while Crystal pointed out it was also the movie’s 35th anniversary.
