“To see them you’d think they were newlyweds,” the source says of the pair, who celebrated their 40th anniversary in March.
The Brady Bunch alum, 69, also celebrated 40 years of sobriety last year — and credits Cummings with saving her from her addiction to cocaine, diet pills and quaaludes, after the cancellation of her hit sitcom in 1974.

“Maureen’s life and drug use got out of control to the point where she couldn’t get work because she was being labeled a flake,” says the source.
But then she met Cummings, and they got engaged 30 days after their first date. “I knew that I’d lose Michael if I ever got high again,” McCormick wrote in her 2008 memoir, Here’s The Story, in which she also details her struggles with depression, bulimia and self-destructive behavior.

She quit and “they’ve been happy ever since,” says the source.
“She’s healthy and appreciating every day as it comes,” adds the source. “She’s just living her best life. ”
