Priscilla Presley is looking back on her time with late ex-husband Elvis Presley.
The 80-year-old businesswoman said in an interview with Hello! published on Monday, January 5, that she and the King of Rock and Roll — who died on August 16, 1977, at age 42 — “always remained friendly and would still get together” after their divorce was finalized in October 1973.
The couple married on May 1, 1967, in Las Vegas and welcomed daughter Lisa Marie Presley (who died in January 2023 at age 54) exactly nine months later on February 1, 1968.

Affairs on both sides contributed to their split in February 1972 before their divorce was made final the following year.
“Of course, we had our daughter, and I would bring her to see her dad perform and made sure they spent a lot of time together,” Priscilla told Hello! of her post-split relationship with Elvis.
“[Lisa Marie] spent extensive time with him at Graceland,” she added. “We still cared for each other.”
Looking back on the late “Burning Love” singer, Priscilla said Elvis “had the best laugh,” adding: “He just had a great sense of humour and [was] fun to be with.”

These days, Priscilla said she is “very close” with her granddaughter Riley Keough, whom Lisa Marie shares with ex-husband Danny Keough.
“She’s just a wonderful mother,” Priscilla said of the 36-year-old actress, who is now mom to daughter Tupelo, 3, and a second baby born last year. “It’s wonderful seeing your grandchild grow up, and she’s been so successful. We’re all very close, all of us in the family.”
Days before the Christmas holiday, Priscilla shared a family photo to Instagram on December 22 featuring granddaughter Riley and her father, Danny, 61; granddaughters Harper and Finley Lockwood, 17, and their father, Michael Lockwood, 64; friend Jerry Schilling, 83; and Riley’s second baby, whose face is covered by an emoji.
“Holiday 2025 & unbreakable family bond,” she captioned the post.
