Princess Kate Can’t ‘Accept’ Prince William and Prince Harry ‘Never’ Speaking Again: ‘Too Unbearably Sad’

Princess Kate is ready to make a last-ditch effort to broker peace with Prince Harry while he’s in the U.K. this summer, a source tells Examiner, even if it means dealing with the situation behind Prince William‘s back.

“In her view, the longer they wait to deal with this, the worse it’s getting,” the source explains. “She’s even said she fears that this could be the last chance because the longer this goes on, the more the hurts stack up, and at some point there’s just too much water under the bridge.”

Kate, 44, isn’t the only one hoping William, 44, and Harry, 41, can make amends.

She and King Charles III are “on the same page” when it comes to reconnecting the estranged brothers, reveals the source. “They can’t stand by and just accept that these two may never even speak again. It just feels too unbearably sad.”

William isn’t going to be the one to make the first move though, Examiner‘s source notes.

“It will take Harry swallowing all pride and essentially begging,” admits the source. “That’s hard to imagine, but Kate and Charles feel that it’s possible once he realizes all that he will gain by getting William back on side.”

But will the future king be willing to hear him out?

“Kate has not broached the subject with William head-on yet. She’s tiptoeing around it, and to be fair no meeting has been set yet,” the source reveals. “Once something is on the books, odds are she will tell William. She’s not the type who can easily lie.”
