The royal family wasted no time demoting Prince Andrew on their official website.

On Monday, October 20, his official biography page at royal.uk referred to King Charles III’s disgraced brother, 65, simply as “Prince Andrew” rather than the Duke of York.

The change was made following Andrew’s announcement — released by Buckingham Palace on Friday, October 17 — that he had decided to stop using his royal titles.

“In discussion with “the king, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family,” Andrew said in the statement, noting that the decision reflected how he has always “put my duty to my family and country first.”

The announcement came amid headlines regarding Andrew’s connection to late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, as well as details from a memoir written by Epstein victim Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who has claimed the Duke of York had sex with her three times while she was a minor.

“As I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against me,” Andrew said.

His page on the website now boasts a brief biography and details from his service in the Royal Navy, along with two earlier statements made by his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II — both related to his public fall from grace.
