‘Family Matters’ Star Reginald VelJohnson Makes Rare Public Appearance With His Dogs

Reginald VelJohnson recently took his pups on a walk.

Earlier this month, the beloved actor, 73, was photographed in Los Angeles taking a stroll with his four small dogs near his home, accompanied by an anonymous man.

The Family Matters alum — who famously starred as Carl Winslow in the hit sitcom from 1989 to 1997 — kept his look casual for the outing, donning a brown short-sleeve shirt, dark pants, slides, a baseball cap and earbuds.

While VelJohnson has led a relatively private life, fans saw a glimpse into his world when he appeared on season 33 of Dancing with the Stars in 2024. The Die Hard actor was partnered with pro dancer Emma Slater, and the pair were eliminated during week three of the hit dance competition show.

However, VelJohnson was recently back in the ballroom, joining Slater and her season 34 partner, Andy Richter, for a Christmas dance as part of the show’s holiday special, which aired after the season finale.

Fans loved seeing VelJohnson put his dancing shoes back on, as they flooded the comment section of the dance video on Instagram with kind remarks.
