Elton John took to his TikTok to respond to people who had a few choice words for his kitchen cleanliness after a previous video brought viewers inside the Grammy winner’s home.
On November 29, John shared a video of himself opening various cabinets and doors in his kitchen. Each time he did, the beginning of his holiday song “Step Into Christmas” began to play, causing him to jokingly scream.
“If you can’t escape it, you might as well Step Into Christmas! Who’s ready?” he captioned the video.
However, it didn’t take long before some commenters noticed that the inside of the singer’s oven, particularly the window, was pretty dirty — and the “Crocodile Rock” musician was not about to take that lying down.

“A couple of weeks ago, I did some videos in this kitchen about how crazy ‘Step Into Christmas’ was driving me. It got an incredible response, which I was quite startled by,” John said in a follow-up video. “But a lot of the response was kind of negative about how dirty my oven is. My oven door, my oven window. I can assure you, I don’t have anything dirty in this house. I’ve never had anything dirty, I’m not a dirty person.”
To prove it, the star issued one more video on the subject that showed him donning appropriately ostentatious pink cleaning gloves and scrubbing the inside of his oven.
“Look, I’ve got the cleanest oven window in Windsor,” he said before exaggeratingly rolling his eyes at the negative commenters.
