Dolly Parton was looking happy and healthy in a sweet video she shared wishing her fans a happy Thanksgiving.
“Well hey! It’s Dolly here, and I want to wish all of you and your family blessings this Thanksgiving,” the country legend, 79, said in the clip shared via Instagram on Thursday, November 27. “I am so thankful for all of you and for the memories that we’ve shared through the years. So Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, and just know that I will always love you.”
The message came just weeks after Parton suffered a health setback that led to her pressing pause on her upcoming residency in Las Vegas.
“I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts,” the “Jolene” singer wrote in a message shared on her Instagram on September 28. “As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures.”
She continued, “As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon! In all seriousness, given this, I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see.”

A little over a week later, Parton’s sisterFreida had fans concerned after posting on Facebook that she had been “up all night praying” for Parton and referenced her recent health struggles. Freida later clarified her comments and said that she simply meant Parton had been “under the weather.”
Earlier this month, Parton told People that she had no plans to retire anytime soon.
“I know that sounds stupid, but unless my health gives way, which right now I seem to be doing fine,” she explained. “I think there’s a lot to be said about age. If you allow yourself to get old, you will. I say, ‘I ain’t got time to get old!’ I ain’t got time to dwell on that. That’s not what I’m thinking about.”
