Prince Edward fears more skeletons may tumble out of his closet after ex-girlfriend Ruthie Henshall told all in her memoir, reveals a source.
“She keeps teasing that there’s an awful lot more people don’t know about him and that he enjoyed quite the fast life back in his day,” the source tells Examiner. “Of course, Edward’s forgotten a lot of it. Like most people, he grew up and moved on. He knows he had fun, but now he’s worried this could open the floodgates and other people might come forward.”
In The Showgirl and the Prince, which was released this July, the West End actress, 59, detailed her roughly five-year relationship with the royal that began in 1988, dishing on everything from the name tags in Edward’s underwear to the first time they made love.
“He was romantic and gentle and definitely NOT GAY!” she wrote (via the Daily Mail). “And he clearly had experience.”
“It’s no secret she had a pretty hard time with this book,” confirms the source. “It made her uncomfortable, so the last thing she wants is more of the same, or worse.”
Sophie, 61, tied the knot with Queen Elizabeth II‘s youngest son in 1999 — and even invited Henshall to the wedding.
“Ruthie painted Edward as this big stallion,” the source adds. “Now he and Sophie are wondering who might come out of the woodwork next — or whether Ruthie herself could eventually take things up a notch and spill even more.”
