James Brolin Doting on an ‘Immobile’ Barbra Streisand Amid Knee Injury: ‘She Takes Full Advantage!’

James Brolin has become wife Barbra Streisand‘s personal butler amid a sidelining knee injury, Examiner has learned.

“Babs is completely immobile right now,” reveals a source. “So James waits on her hand and foot — and she takes full advantage!”

The music icon was forced to pull out of a Saturday, May 23 appearance at the Cannes Film Festival — where she would’ve collected an Honorary Palme d’or award — over the bum joint, revealing in a statement that doctors advised against making the trek to France.

According to Streisand, she’d been “very much looking forward” to attending the international event in “a place I have always loved.”

“Missing out on the trip left her in a pretty bad mood,” Examiner‘s source admits. “It was a big disappointment.”

Since her mishap, the “Don’t Rain on My Parade” singer, 84, hasn’t left her Malibu estate, notes the source.

“She’s literally trapped in the house,” spills the source. “James is desperately trying to lift her spirits. He’s really been a saint as Barbra goes through her recovery.”

Wed for 28 years as of this July, the Little Fockers actress and the Ransom Canyon actor, 85, first met on a blind date in 1996.

Streisand previously told the BBC in 2023 how she’s hoping to enjoy many more years to come with Brolin by her side.

“I want to live life,” she shared. “I want to get in my husband’s truck and just wander.”
