Andrew Mountbatten Windsor’s life isn’t nearly as luxurious after being forced to move out of the Royal Lodge.
The former prince, 66, will soon call the Marsh Farm at the Sandringham Estate his home and it’s a far cry from the huge house he previously lived in. On Monday, March 30, the Daily Mail reported that a second-hand mobile home was delivered to the estate and that’s where Andrew’s security will live.
The mobile home, called the Willerby Meridian Lodge, cost roughly $33,000. It was reportedly purchased using funds provided by King Charles III for living expenses.
The unit is expected to house security detail, as space is limited at the property’s main residence in Norfolk.
The 2012 model has a standard two-bedroom layout with a simple interior, featuring neutral carpeting, vinyl flooring, faux-wood countertops, a compact kitchen with a metal sink and a modest living area.

While the outlet described the mobile home as “dated and faded,” Andrew is allegedly not bothered by it.
“Andrew uses it himself, would you believe, and what’s more shocking is, he likes it. He really is a changed man,” a source told the Daily Mail. “He’s enjoyed sitting in the caravan. It’s novel for him.”
A second source claimed, “People thought the caravan was for his staff, but he doesn’t really have any. The staff who work elsewhere at Sandringham already help out, but many are reluctant to live in.”
Plus, the structure has been useful for Andrew to use while Marsh Farm is being renovated.
“Marsh Farm has needed rewiring and plastering and there was even talk of asbestos – it’s not in a fit state for him yet,” the source explained. “Meanwhile, Andrew wants the best of everything and the process is painfully slow.”

They added, “But he needs to be out soon, and the King would have no qualms about pushing him out of Wood Farm if it was needed for overspill. Andrew might end up sleeping in that caravan if he’s not careful.”
The disgraced royal was arrested on February 19 on claims that he shared confidential information with convicted sex offender JeffreyEpstein. If convicted, he could face up to life in prison.
Andrew, however, has consistently denied all wrongdoing.
