Bradley Cooper Would ‘Drop Everything’ to Work With Clint Eastwood Again: ‘Absolutely Worships’ Him

Make his day, Clint Eastwood! Bradley Cooper hopes he’ll get the chance to work with the legendary director one last time, a source tells Examiner.

“Bradley did not grow up being a huge Clint Eastwood fan,” admits the source. “It was really the experience of making American Sniper where Bradley came around to the realization that Clint’s life and career could be an example he could actually follow.”

Cooper, 51, would go on to team up with Eastwood, 96, again in the 2018 crime thriller The Mule — and according to the source, he’s in “regular communication” with the beloved screen legend, checking in on him as often as possible.

“Bradley still absolutely worships Clint and his streamlined, unfussy approach to art and filmmaking,” shares the source. “There’s just a lot of love there and Bradley is holding out hope for one more collaboration between the two of them after the great experiences they have already had together.”

Eastwood has retreated from the spotlight in recent years, as Examiner previously reported.

The last film he directed and produced, Juror No. 2, came out in November 2024 and he did not join stars Nicholas Hoult and Toni Colletti at the L.A. premiere.

“Until Clint publicly says so himself, Bradley doesn’t consider Clint retired and the possibility of Clint making another movie still hangs in the air,” reveals the source. “Bradley’s schedule is getting extremely busy over the next 18 months, and he’s committing to make multiple movies back-to-back, but he will drop everything if Clint calls.”

Adds the source: “[He’s] still the one former collaborator Bradley will never say no to!”
