Valerie Bertinelli Teases a Comeback With New Cooking Shows After Food Network Exit

Valerie Bertinelli is cooking up her next act.

The beloved Food Network alum, 65, confirmed she’s launching multiple new cooking shows after her 2022 ousting from Kids Baking Championship, where she served as cohost for 12 seasons before being replaced by Kardea Brown.

On Tuesday, January 13, in a new fan Q&A that she shared on her Instagram Stories, Bertinelli didn’t hold back when asked whether she’d ever get another show. “Yes, your wish is my command!” she shared.

“Not only am I going to get my own cooking show, but I’m going to be in charge of my own cooking show and I’m going to do multiple cooking shows and it’s going to all be on Valerie’s Place,” she shared, teasing her new online venture.

The One Day at a Time alum opened up about how painful her Food Network exit was in a 2024 Instagram video, per Fox News, telling fans last year she believed budget cuts were behind her dismissal.

She also credited the long-running baking series with helping her through some of her darkest moments, calling it a “flotation device,” adding that “it really hurts that I won’t be able to go back.”

Despite the heartbreak, Bertinelli posted on X (via Page Six) that she holds “zero ill will” toward the network — and is fully focused on her next chapter.
