Inside Prince William and Princess Kate’s Life With Their Three Children Amid Move to New Home

Prince William and Princess Kate and their kids moved into their “dream home” — the eight-bedroom Forest Lodge on the Windsor Castle grounds — in early November, but aside from having a little more room, life at home shouldn’t change too much for Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.

“I do try and stick to school timetables as best as possible. So, most days we’re in and out of school doing pick-ups and drop-offs,” William, 43, told Eugene Levy on the Apple TV+ show, The Reluctant Traveler, in October.

“If you don’t start the children off now with a happy, healthy, stable home, I feel you’re setting them up for a bit of a hard time and a fall,” he continued.

“I think it’s really important that that atmosphere is created at home,” the future king shared. “You have to have that warmth, that feeling of safety, security, love.”

William and Kate, 43, try to make life as “normal” as possible for the royal children, which includes sports, music, baking and trying new crafts. (One recent endeavor: Apple pressing, which Kate admitted was “very messy,” according to Hello!)

The pair have also passed along their mutual love of nature and passion for environmental conservation, which led William to found the Earthshot Prize in 2020.

“For my children particularly, knowing the planet’s going to be in a healthier, better state because of the brilliant people in this room is something that I love to tell them when they go to bed,” Prince William told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour at The Earthshot Prize Impact Assembly on Wednesday, November 5, per People.

The family spends as much time outdoors as possible — which also helps limit screen time. “None of our children have any phones,” William told Levy, “which we’re very strict about.”
