Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are planning a visit Down Under next year, according to a source.
A source tells Examiner that the Sussexes “have been wanting to go back to Australia for a while now” and “are saying it’s a priority for next year, ideally in the first quarter.”
The source notes that the With Love, Meghan host, 44, and the Spare author, 41, would “love” to bring their children, Archie, 6, and Lily, 3, along.
“It’s a place that holds a lot of special memories for them,” the source shares. “It was the first royal tour they ever did, and Meghan was pregnant with Archie, so taking the kids back would be very meaningful.”
“No doubt they will be treated like visiting royalty, and that is not sitting well with William,” the source claims. “He sees that kind of thing as fraudulent, and now that he’s aware they are planning this trip down under, he will be reaching out to all his contacts there to let his feelings be known.”
The source points out that in William’s eyes, “he’s just protecting the interests of the Crown” as they “are no longer [working] royals.”
Last month, Harry and Meghan sent a letter to celebrity astrologer Angela Pearl, dated October 24, expressing their interest in visiting Australia, per The Telegraph.
“On a separate note, we hope your family in Ukraine remain safe, and we look forward to staying in touch, especially as we look to visit Australia again,” the couple wrote, as Pearl is based in Australia, according to the outlet.
