Andrew Mountbatten Windsor refuses to accept that his romantic life is over, a source tells Examiner.

“He’s lonely, he misses companionship and he’s started quietly letting friends know that he’d be open to meeting someone,” reveals the source. “Whatever people may think of him, he still sees himself as a catch and genuinely believes there’s a woman out there who would be thrilled to be with him.”

Although the former Duke of York, 66, has been stripped of his titles, booted from Royal Lodge and banished from the British royal family, “in his mind, he still has a lot to offer the right lady,” the source admits. “The challenge, of course, is finding anyone willing to take that leap.”

As Examiner previously reported, Andrew has faced intense public scrutiny over his connection to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, despite repeatedly denying any wrongdoing.

“His reputation has taken such a battering that most women are going to run a mile, but Andrew has never lacked confidence and he seems oblivious to his pariah-status” notes the source. “He’s also never been the type to go without a girlfriend for a week, let alone a lifetime.”

In a November interview with NewsNation, royal historian Andrew Lownie even alleged that the disgraced royal “brought in prostitutes to Buckingham Palace for years.”

Adds the source: “Being this virile guy is a huge part of his identity and he says there’s no way he’s going to live like a monk forever just because he’s had some scandal.”
