Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York author Andrew Lownie alleges in a new interview with Page Six that the former duchess, 66, was “very manipulative,” and that staffers wept in bathrooms and quit after working just “half a day.”
“Sarah is furious and insisting the stories are unfair, but everyone can see she’s panicked over this,” an insider tells Examiner. “She’s always been able to charm her way through a crisis, but this is her worst nightmare.”
Worse may still yet to come, though.
“Now that they’ve spoken to one journalist, the odds of them getting tracked down by more and dishing more dirt are very high,” reveals the insider. “The things these former staff have shared so far make her look bad enough, but there’s whispers that they have much worse to share.”
Both deny any wrongdoing and Fergie has consistently maintained her innocence, previously stating via a representative that she was “taken in” by the convicted sex offender’s “lies.”
Still, they lost the right to use their titles and were ordered to vacate Royal Lodge in 2025. Fergie’s charity, Sarah’s Trust, also announced that it was closing, People reported, and her planned children’s book release was ‘pulped,’ per The Guardian.
“Her reputation is rock bottom already,” the insider notes. “The last thing she needs is more humiliating personal details laid bare.”
