Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson is “absolutely terrified” about where the investigation into ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten Windsor could be heading, a source tells Examiner.
On Thursday, February 19, the former Duke of York, 66, was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office after it was alleged that he shared confidential information with Jeffrey Epstein while working as a trade envoy.
“Everyone knows how deeply intertwined her life has been with Andrew’s over the years,” says the source of Fergie, 66. “There’s a growing sense that investigators won’t stop with him if they start pulling on certain threads, that Sarah could be on the docket next.”

Andrew has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, as has Fergie, who found herself in hot water after a 2011 email to Epstein, 66, surfaced, in which she calls him a “supreme friend.”
The former Duchess of York consistently maintains her innocence, previously stating via a representative that she was “taken in” by Epstein’s “lies.”
However, “if she does face legal troubles because of this, there won’t be any help from [Prince William] or anyone else in the family,” says the source. “She is very much on her own.”
As Examinerpreviously reported, the future king, 43, has made it clear to everyone in the monarchy that Fergie is unwelcome going forward.
“No matter how she tries to spin her way out of this, it’s far too little, too late as far as William is concerned,” says the source. “She is getting absolutely zero loyalty from the royal family. If there are questions to answer then she must cooperate fully and face whatever consequences follow.”
