Reba McEntire and Rex Linn have checked at least one thing off their wedding to-do list: a location. “We’re going to do it in Tennessee on the ranch,” the groom-to-be revealed to Extra. “We’ve got a great ranch in Tennessee. We’re going to have all of our animals there.” The human head count is still up in the air, though. “I don’t think it’ll be too big. We might have a small wedding, and then possibly have a big party,” he shares. “We don’t know yet. We haven’t figured that out.”

While this is 69-year-old Rex’s first trip down the aisle, it will be his future wife’s third time swapping vows. She was previously wed to cattle rancher Charlie Battles from 1976 to 1987 and music manager Narvel Blackstock from 1989 to 2015. Still, that doesn’t make the nuptial planning with her Happy’s Place costar any less exciting. “It’ll be a lot of fun,” Reba, 71, told E! News. “It’s gonna be a nontraditional wedding because that’s Rex and me. We like comfort, we love friends, we love food.”
Though the lovebirds have known each other since 1991, when they were castmates in the TV movie The Gambler Returns, things didn’t turn romantic until after they reconnected on the set of Young Sheldon in 2020. By the end of 2024, the pair were engaged.
Two-time divorcée Reba now believes “God saved the best for last” with Rex, she said in an interview with USA Today, adding, “I’m having a blast. I feel like a teenager again,” raves the “Fancy” singer. “It’s just a wonderful time.”
