Dolly Parton is a little unhappy with Happy’s Place star Reba McEntire, sources say. “They’re great friends, but Reba has pretty much been ignoring Dolly as she recovers at home in Tennessee from her various health problems,” says an insider.
Apparently McEntire is too busy. “Between her TV series, her romance with Rex Linn and her concert gigs, Reba hasn’t had time for her one-time best friend,” tattles the source. “In an ideal world, Reba would be popping over to see Dolly every day, or at least a few times each week. But she’s up to her eyes with her own commitments.”
Her sitcom was just renewed for a third season, and the singer, 71, recently joined Trisha Yearwood onstage at the Grand Ole Opry for a benefit concert. “She’s also planning a wedding,” says the source, “so she has a lot on her plate.”
Parton, 80, “sees her caregivers, her sisters and other local friends. But there’s no substitute for seeing old friends, especially Reba, who’s like her twin sister,” says the insider. “Dolly is bummed because she misses her terribly.”
