Princess Kate ‘Done Putting in All the Effort’ to Bring Prince Harry Back Into Royal Fold (Exclusive)

Princess Kate still loves Prince Harry and would gladly welcome him back in the royal fold, but she’s growing increasingly frustrated by his stubborn refusal to reach out and apologize to Prince William.

“Her patience is wearing thin,” a source tells Examiner. “She’s spent years trying to keep a door open with Harry, defending him when she could and staying in discreet contact because she genuinely hoped it would help heal things between him and William.”

The future queen can’t do it all on her own, though.

“Harry still hasn’t picked up the phone and properly apologized to William, and that’s become impossible for her to overlook,” says the source. “She’s finding it harder and harder to justify her loyalty to Harry when he keeps refusing to do the one thing that could change everything.”

Kate, 44, also expected her brother-in-law, 41, to make a real effort to come back to the U.K. by now, the source adds. So why hasn’t he?

Wife Meghan Markle may have something to do with it.

“From Kate’s point of view, it feels like he keeps defaulting to Meghan’s wishes instead of showing any independence or backbone,” says Examiner’s source, “and that’s not the man she thought he’d become.”

So now, the Princess of Wales is trying a tough-love approach.

“Kate still loves Harry and wants him back in the family, but she’s reached the stage where she’s done putting in all the effort,” the source explains. “She’s made it clear the ball is in his court now. If he wants this sorted out, he’s going to have to take the lead.”
