Dolly Parton Jokes About How She’s ‘Outlived So Many Plastic Surgeons’ After Milestone 80th Birthday

Dolly Parton has reached 80 years old and wants to continue to look her best in this next chapter of life.

Earlier this week, the country music legend posted a video on Instagram discussing how she decided to release a new version of her song “Light of a Clear Blue Morning,” featuring Lainey Wilson, Miley Cyrus, Queen Latifah and Reba McEntire, as a birthday gift to her fans.

At the end of the video message, the “Jolene” hitmaker made a hilarious comment about her cosmetic procedures and surgeons as she ages.

“Anyway, thank you for all the birthday wishes. And I hope I live another 80 years, but I hope I’ve still got my plastic surgeons in line,” she laughed. “Oh Lord, I’ve outlived so many plastic surgeons.”

As Examiner previously reported, the 11-time Grammy Award winner turned 80 on Monday, January 19, and spoke to People about her intent not to slow down — despite recent health troubles that forced her to reschedule her Las Vegas residency.

“People say, ‘Well, you’re going to be 80 years old.’ Well, so what? Look at all I’ve done in 80 years,” Parton told the publication. “I feel like I’m just getting started.”

“If you allow yourself to get old, you will. I say, ‘I ain’t got time to get old!’ I ain’t got time to dwell on that,” she added.”That’s not what I’m thinking about.”
