Princess Charlotte is a thief — she steals hearts!
“Her ease in the spotlight is striking,” gushes royal insider Amanda Matta. But Charlotte’s a pro. She’s been in the public eye since making her debut outside London’s St. Mary’s Hospital when she was only a few hours old on May 2, 2015.
Since then, the world has watched as Charlotte transformed from an adorable toddler into a poised, self-assured tween who “talks to adults like it’s no big deal,” says Matta.
Charlotte loves horses and hanging out with big brother Prince George, 11, and 7-year-old little brother Prince Louis. She even kept her composure while meeting her idol, Taylor Swift, something not many fangirls could do!

Proud Prince William and Princess Kate have “watched Charlotte grow into a smart, confident and funny girl who knows how to hold her own both in the spotlight and outside of it,” says royal expert Sharon Carpenter.
Charlotte is described as “bright and diligent” at Lambrook School, a private institution in the English countryside. She speaks Spanish and loves tennis, archery and “anything adventurous.” She also likes doing gymnastics.
Laughs Matta, “She’s often doing cartwheels around the house.”
She may be sporty and outdoorsy, but Charlotte also has a girly side. She loves baking, ballet, tap dance and “she’s following closely in her mother’s footsteps when it comes to her princess style, and she’s now regarded as a major child fashion icon,” says Carpenter.

The young princess has an impressive wardrobe and as soon as she wears an outfit in public, the clothes often sell out in stores!
“Her influence, known as the ‘Charlotte Effect,’ helps drive sales,” says Carpenter. “It’s estimated that Charlotte will be worth between a whopping 3 and 4 billion pounds to the U.K. economy over her lifetime — much more than even her brother George, who will one day be king.”
And she has dad William’s cheeky side too.
Reveals Carpenter, “Charlotte has a sassy sense of humor, just like her dad.”

Charlotte exhibits “a surprising amount of confidence for someone her age,” says Matta, and experts say Charlotte will be the royal family’s secret weapon when she turns 18 and begins carrying out official engagements.
But William and Kate won’t let her get too ahead of herself.
Adds Carpenter: “As much as they are slowly preparing Charlotte for more responsibility, they are really intentional about letting her be a kid for as long as possible.”
