Matt Damon and Kristen Bell Join Forces to Help Families with Medical Bills

Matt Damon answered the Bell — Kristen Bell, that is! When the “Frozen” star put out a call to help families cope with outrageous medical bills, Matt stepped up to the plate.

Kristen herself responded to social media influencer Tommy Marcus’ mission to help out with a message to the “Veronica Mars” beauty, “I had this idea to harness this public energy around the broken healthcare system by sharing one health-related GoFundMe every day for a week+ and changing the life of one family per day,” wrote Marcus on social media.

Bell thought it was a good plan and immediately agreed to help. Together, they quickly raised cash for families struggling to pay for cancer treatments and other lifesaving procedures.

One online post reveals, “In just 20 minutes, with the help of Kristen Bell and all of you, we raised the $50k that the Pallacios family needed to assist their 3rd grade daughter Mia’s battle with leukemia.”

Wanting to do more, Kristen asked, “How can I give $100,000 to people who need it for medical bills? I want to make sure we do it in the best way. How do we do it?”

Marcus suggested crowdfunding half the amounts needed and matching the rest with her own donation. That’s when Matt and wife Luciana pledged to match donations up to $100,000!

Now, the famous folks are rallying thousands of people to contribute to the cause, and families burdened by medical expenses are finally finding relief.
