Tom Cruise’s ‘Big Ego’ and Need For ‘Control’ Played Major Role in Him Nixing Idea to Film in Space

Tom Cruise’s dream of making a movie in space has been grounded because he apparently doesn’t want to ask President Donald Trump for a favor, a source tells the Examiner.

The 63-year-old actor has remained on the political sidelines for years. “From what I understand,” says the source, “they would need NASA cooperation and coordination to do the movie, and supposedly Tom Cruise did not want to ask Trump for a favor. You’d need permission from the federal government.”

In addition, Tom wants to be Top Gun on all his movies, a Hollywood insider says. “He’s a control freak. He wants to run everything, and he doesn’t want anyone telling him what to do.”

“On the surface, he pretends to be a very congenial and easygoing guy. But he has a big ego, and deep down he wants control over every aspect of the films he produces or appears in.”
