Sylvester Stallone isn’t slowing down — but even he admits Father Time is catching up.
In a Monday, January 19 Instagram post, the Tulsa King star, 79, told fans that hitting the gym “gets harder and harder” as he ages, but that’s exactly why he refuses to back off.
Calling the gym his “sanctuary,” Stallone said working out keeps him “confident and ready to face any challenge.” Filming himself in a black tank top surrounded by punching bags worthy of Rocky, the actor urged followers to “push harder and harder” through “blood, sweat, and tears” each year.
Stallone ended his message with a trademark rallying cry: “Keep punching.”
The Hollywood legend — who turns 80 on July 6 — has been recovering from recent back surgery and walked the 2025 Kennedy Center Honors red carpet in December 2025 with a cane. But it seems he’s not letting the recent procedure stop him from getting his workout done.
It appears there’s a good reason why Stallone is keeping himself in fighting shape, too.
