Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost are ‘More in Love Than Ever’ After Nearly Five Years of Marriage

They said the marriage between Black Widow bombshell Scarlett Johansson and Saturday Night Live Weekend Update wiseguy Colin Jost would never last … but five years later, this odd couple is stronger — and cuter — than ever!

Colin still “pinches himself that he gets to call her wife,” and an insider says, “Scarlett and Colin appear more in love than ever. Colin keeps her grounded, and friends say she raves about how kind and understanding he is. Of course, he also has Scarlett laughing nonstop.”

The unlikely duo first met in 2006 when Scarlett hosted SNL — but sparks didn’t fly until 11 years later. In the meantime, Scarlett married (and divorced) Ryan Reynolds (2008–’11) and French journalist Romain Dauriac (2014–’17), father of her 10-year-old daughter, Rose.

Then something clicked. “I didn’t know what I wanted or needed from somebody else,” Scarlett, 40, said on an April 2023 episode of the Goop podcast. “I need to be with a compassionate person. That’s a fundamental characteristic that has to be there. It worked with Colin and I because I was finally able to step back and respect myself enough to know what those needs were.”

Colin, 43, told Vanity Fair last month, “She overcame more than anyone realizes to get to where she is.”

The couple now share a 3-year-old son, Cosmo, and a sweet, steady rhythm that works.

“If they’re irritated, they deal with it right away rather than letting it fester,” says the insider. “And they still flirt like they’re in the honeymoon phase.”
