Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have been totally silent on the scandal surrounding the connection between their parents Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson, and Jeffrey Epstein. However, a source tells Examiner that they’re ready to come forward and share their truth.
“There’s a growing feeling that staying quiet is no longer an option, that there’s an obligation for them to tell their side to the right people,” explains the source.
Things came to a head on Thursday, February 19, when Andrew, 66, was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office following allegations that he shared confidential information with Epstein, 66, while working as a British trade envoy.
The former Duke of York has consistently denied any wrongdoing as has Fergie, 66, who previously said via a representative that she was “taken in” by Epstein’s lies after a 2011 email surfaced, in which she called the convicted pedophile a “supreme friend.”

Many see this as “a very pivotal moment” for Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 35, notes the source. “They don’t want their own families forever defined by this, and a lot of people feel that’s all going to depend on how they conduct themselves.”
Adds the source: “It’s also very delicate because they can’t risk upsetting the palace machine.”
As Examinerpreviously reported, the princesses rely heavily on their royal status — and they know all it would take is one exposed misstep for them to be pushed out of the royal fold alongside their parents.
Prince William “would no doubt be all for them stepping up and speaking to the authorities, but not everyone in the Firm will feel that way,” says the source. “There’s still a culture of silence so they will upset some people by doing this, but they really have no other option.”
