King Charles III is reportedly having more trouble dealing with his heir to the throne, Prince William, than Prince Harry.

“Harry is emotional and unpredictable, but William is the real challenge,” a source tells Rob Shuter in the Sunday, June 21 edition of his Naughty But Nice Substack. “With Harry, at least Charles knows where he stands. With William, it’s much more complicated.”

“William is no longer waiting in the wings,” a second source explained. “He has his own team, his own agenda, and very clear ideas about the future of the monarchy.”

Charles, 77, ascended the throne in 2022 after his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, passed away, making him the oldest person to take the British crown in history.

“Charles waited his entire life to become King,” a third insider said. “The last thing he wants is people acting as if his reign is already over.”

A fourth source noted, “there are times when it feels like two royal courts operating under one roof,” revealing that “Charles has his priorities. William has his. They don’t always align.”

As for the “Harry situation,” a fifth insider described it as “largely frozen.”

“The real challenge for Charles is managing a future King who is increasingly impatient to shape the institution in his own image,” the insider added.

“Harry is the family drama” a sixth source told Shuter, while William is challenging his authority as monarch.

As Examiner readers know, the Duke of Sussex, 41, and his wife, Meghan Markle, announced in 2020 that they would step back as senior members of the royal family, sending shockwaves through the royal family. The Spare author and his father were estranged for 19 months before reuniting in September.

Meanwhile, the Prince of Wales, 44, has made it clear he has a new vision when he takes the crown.

William appeared in an October episode of Apple TV+’s The Reluctant Traveler and told host Eugene Levy it was “safe to say that change is on my agenda, change for good,” per NBC News.
