SHE JUST CELEBRATED HER MILESTONE 50th BIRTHDAY

“I’d say this last decade was really powerful for me,” says the singer. “I took time to put myself first, and it’s paying dividends. There were times in my life where it was just so hard and my magic was sort of gone. To stand here and say I’m more turned on by life than I’ve ever been, it’s a great feeling.”

SHE’S PRIORITIZING HER MENTAL HEALTH

“When I was discovered, my No. 1 goal wasn’t to be a musician. It was to make sure I could learn how to be a happy whole human instead of a human filled with holes. I never wanted my mental health to be the price I paid for my career.”

SHE’S LOVING TIME WITH HER 13-YEAR-OLD SON, KASE

“I hoped to have a family, and the loss of that dream was really hard.” says Jewel, who is divorced from her husband Ty Murray. “But I’m really liking being a single parent and it’s working really good.”

SHE’S HOPING FOR A NEW LOVE

“I’m open to it,” she says. “It hasn’t been a huge priority for me. It’s nice to date yourself, learn how to fall in love with yourself.”
