Superstar Jane Seymour is as big a real-life hero as she was in her most famous role — she’s harboring her “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” costar Joe Lando, his family and even their pets after their home was destroyed in the devastating L.A. area wildfires!

“I’ve never been through anything like this,” says Joe, 63, who lost everything in the Pacific Palisades fire. “It’s indescribable. The Lando family is intact, all of us, our dogs and our two birds. We’re left with nothing except each other.”

Jane, 73, was quick to Joe Lando and open her doors to Joe, her Jane Seymour love interest in the 1993–’98 series. “Thankfully, there are angels in this world,” Joe says. “Jane allowed us to come over to her house without any hesitation and thank God gave us someplace to come and sleep.”

It was the right thing to do, the actress says. “My mother instilled in me from an early age that in times of great strife and struggle, reach out and help someone,” says Jane. “Welcoming Joe and his family into our home while they try to make sense of the inexplicable is just what you do for family, and the Landos are our family.”
