Helen Hunt Celebrates Fourth Dating Anniversary With Jeffrey Nordling After Rekindling Past Romance

Helen Hunt celebrated her fourth dating anniversary with boyfriend Jeffrey Nordling.

Hunt, 62, took to Instagram on Saturday, January 24, where she shared an image of the two of them at sunset, hugging each other with the wind in their hair.

The couple sported matching aviator sunglasses in the snap, which she captioned, “…and now we’re 4” along with a red heart emoji.

It’s worth noting that the four-year anniversary moniker comes with a bit of an asterisk. In an interview with Flow Space last year, Hunt revealed that she and the Big Little Lies actor, 63, dated in the past and since rekindled.

“We dated in 1988!” she revealed in the June 2025 interview. “I’ve never really talked about that. And I always thought he was lovely and sweet and talented and dreamy. We both had very different lives for decades, and then, in some crazy way, found each other again.”

The couple met that year while working on the movie Shooter. It’s unclear why they broke up at the time, but People notes they first began sparking dating rumors as far back as May of 2022 when they began sharing photos of each other on their respective Instagram accounts. It wasn’t until 2023 that they made their official red carpet debut as a couple at the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s 20th Anniversary Gala honoring architect Frank Gehry.

In the same interview with Flow Space, Hunt revealed it was her daughter, Makenna Lei, 21, who was the one person who convinced her to start dating again after she split from her daughter’s father, Matthew Carnahan, in 2017.

“The sentence was, ‘You should date someone hot,’” Hunt recalled. “I mentioned [Nordling], and we had mutual friends, and we had breakfast.”
