Halle Berry, 59, Talks Aging in Hollywood: ‘It Comes Up Every Time’

As she promotes her upcoming flick Crime 101 with costars Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo, Halle Berry is also speaking out about something far more personal: how women are judged for aging.

During the Heart Evening Show that aired on Wednesday, February 4, Berry was asked what she wishes people would stop asking her.

“Stop asking me about my f**king age, man!” said Berry.

“It comes up every time someone talks about me,” she said, adding that she’s tired of hearing: “Oh my God, how are you 59?”

Berry acknowledged that age plays a role in Crime 101, but said that, off screen, the topic often overshadows deeper conversations about women’s careers.

“As a woman that precedes us more than it does men,” she explained.

The actress has long advocated for reframing aging as growth rather than decline.

In recent years, she has turned her attention to menopause, even taking her advocacy to Capitol Hill, calling for more open conversations, improved healthcare options and greater support for women navigating the transition.

The actress also launched Respin, a menopause-focused wellness company aimed at filling gaps in care. During a recent keynote at the Eudemonia wellness conference, Berry said women aren’t “downgrading” as they get older, but moving toward the best version of themselves, per People.
