His house is haunted. “There used to be banging in the attic, and I’ve heard [the spirit] say, ‘Ma,’ and ‘Good afternoon’ and my name,” says George, 63, whose sitcom “Lopez vs Lopez” is in its third season on NBC. “But until it actually touches me, I’m going to stay.”

His first job was working at H Salt Fish & Chips in San Fernando, Calif., for the summer. “It was fun, but you’d smell like fish,” laughs George, who adds that his favorite comfort food is a dish his grandmother used to make: elbow macaroni with tomato sauce, ground hamburger and olives. “It’s delicious!”

His favorite movie is the 1985 film “Vision Quest” with Matthew Modine. “If I could only watch one movie for the rest of my life, that would be it.”

The proudest moment of his career as an actor and comedian was getting his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2006. “When I was 15, I would stand on George Burns’ star, cover his last name with my foot and imagine that my name was there.”

His first car was a 1976 Ford LTD. “I had a cut in the fuel line, and gas was shooting out. I showed my grandfather, and he said, ‘Go take it to get fixed.’ I replied, ‘I’m not going anywhere!’ ”
