Ex-Prince Andrew Seen Horseback Riding in the Rain While Family Has Holiday Lunch Without Him

For Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, when it rains… it pours.

The man formerly known as Prince Andrew, 65, appeared solemn, cold and wet as he was seen horseback riding on Tuesday, December 16, in photos obtained by the Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, most of the royal family — including daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie — were photographed en route to a Christmas lunch hosted by King Charles III.

While it seems that the former Duke of York’s ex-wife, Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson, 66, also didn’t attend the luncheon, there were many who arrived at Buckingham Palace in good spirits.

Prince William and Princess Kate, along with their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, all attended the celebration.

People reported that Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh; Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent; and Lady Sarah Chatto, among others, were also there.

Andrew’s recent sighting comes days after he and the former Duchess of York attended the christening of their granddaughter on Friday, December 12. Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, hosted the family event in celebration of baby Athena Elizabeth Rose, who was born earlier this year on January 22.

Andrew and Fergie have laid low after Queen Elizabeth II’s son was stripped of his royal titles and honors in October. According to People, Andrew is not expected to attend any of the royal family’s Christmas celebrations.

The pair have come under fire in recent months due to their longtime connection to late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Though Andrew and Fergie have continuously denied any wrongdoing — and the father of two maintains his innocence amid allegations of sexual assault — they have been asked to vacate Royal Lodge.

They reportedly must vacate the 30-room estate, where they have lived practically rent-free for years, by January 31.
