Holy revelation! Denzel Washington celebrated his 70th birthday by becoming an ordained minister.

Wearing a white robe with a burgundy stole with a white cross on the upper half of each side, the “Training Day” and “The Equalizer” legend was baptized and presented with his minister’s license at New York City’s Kelly Temple Church of God by Bishop James Pullings Jr.

“It took a while, but I’m finally here. If God can do this for me, there’s nothing He can’t do for you — the sky literally is the limit,” Denzel told the assembled congregation.

Recently, the two-time Oscar winner blasted Hollywood for suppressing religious talk. “See, talking about the fear part of it — you can’t talk like that and win Oscars,” says Denzel. “You can’t talk like that and party. You can’t say that in this town.”

But now that he’s ordained, he boasts, “I’m free now. It’s not talked about in this town. It’s not fashionable. It’s not sexy. But that doesn’t mean people in Hollywood don’t believe. I don’t know how many other actors have faith. I mean, there’s no Church Actor Meetings I’ve been to.”
