Betty White’s characters were often sweet old ladies, but Bones alum David Boreanaz recently revealed that she could let loose with some zingers that might even make sailors blush.
“She showed up in the diner. They drive her in and [they] usher her in. And she says hello to everybody,” Boreanaz, 56, said during the Bones: 20th Anniversary Retrospective panel at the inaugural Televerse Festival on August 16, per People. “And Emily [Deschanel] and I are waiting for her. And she’s like, ‘Good to see you. Oh, good to see you. You’re so nice. You’re so pretty.’ She goes up to Emily — ‘Oh, you’re so pretty.’ ”
He continued, “She looks at me, she goes, ‘Holy s**t, I want to f**k you. I want to f**k you!’ I just started laughing.”
Boreanaz’s fellow Bones stars Tamara Taylor and Deschanel, 48, also chimed in on the exchange. While Deschanel said “didn’t hear” White’s off-color conversation with the former Buffy actor, she clarified she wasn’t “saying it didn’t happen.” Taylor, 54, added that the former Hot in Cleveland star was a “legendary potty mouth.”

White only made two appearances on Bones as Dr. Beth Mayer, but actor T.J. Thyne described her as “a little troublemaker” on the set of the show.
Even though White’s biggest role was Rose Nylund in The Golden Girls, which she starred in from 1985 to 1992, she became one of the most lovable stars in Hollywood over the years. She made several cameos in a wide range of TV shows and films before her death at the age of 99 in December 2021.
